Pua Malta Taumata passed away peacefully at his place – 196 Kaiwaitau Road in Mahia on Monday 20th January 2025 surrounded by his loving whanau. 

Father of Darren and Cheryl, Ngaire and Ian, Viviane and Simon, Rachel and William, Desmond, Tia and Kaysie, Howard and Ada, Rose and Jeremy, Phyllis and Craig (dec) and Liz. Papa Pua was very proud of all his mokopuna and mokomoko. Pua will be welcomed to Te Rakato Marae on Tuesday, where he will lie in state until his tangi on Thursday, 23rd January at 11am.
